Newman 36 Bare Hull

The yard recently purchased a Newman 36 that was built in 1974 and has stripped the boat down to a bare hull. The hull is in great condition and is constructed of 16 layers of hand laid mat and woven roving. The Newman 36 has a LOA of 36' with a beam of 11'. She has a designed displacement of 16,200 pounds. The running gear is still in place with a stainless steel rudder, 1 ¾" stainless steel shaft, dripless shaft seal, and a 22" four blade propeller.

The Newman 36 is well known for its sea kindliness and good looks. A fuel efficient cruise speed of 15-17 knots could be expected. The boat is a bare hull and could be customized to any layout the customer desires. The pictures on this page are some ideas from another Newman 36. Food for thought...
